The 'Stockhorn eyes' - panoramic view that extends as far as the eye can see

Enjoy the magnificent view from Lake Thun through to the Jura. The rock gallery at the elevation of the mountain station leads directly to the two rock openings, the 'Stockhorn eyes' in the north face of the Stockhorn.

Right next to the Panorama Restaurant, a tunnel leads to the two rock openings, the 'Stockhorn eyes', in the Stockhorn north face. They offer up a magnificent unimpaired view of Thun, Lake Thun, the Aare and Gürbe valley, the Swiss central plateau through to the Jura and, on clear days, right to the southern Black Forest.

The breathtaking unimpaired view can be enjoyed by young and old, small and large. Easy accessibility to the 'Stockhorn eyes' is also guaranteed for persons in a wheelchair, with walking disabilities and families with prams.

There are lots of information panels in the gallery and by the openings for visitors who have a specific interest in geology, for families and groups of school pupils. A beautifully large calcite crystal from the mountain region, a one of a kind, can also be admired there.

Follow the construction of the summit gallery and the break-through of the 'Stockhorn eyes' in the year 2000-2001.
